So a bit of a walk last week with my chum Richard. We managed a break in the dull weather and got out into the sun in the Mendips. Did wonders for my ‘steps count’ on my phone, especially when we took a slight detour.
The highlight for me was this beechwood with the sun shining through. I wish my photographs did it as much justice as it actually was on the day.

Thanks very much. It really does not do it justice and what you don’t get is the sound of the wood, which was remarkably calming with no road noise impinging anywhere.
