For those of you not resident in the UK I’ve adapted a number of British road signs, this one has no adaptions to it at all, apart from the meaning. Assuming that you have been buying stuff “just in case”, it may be a lesson in checking at the back of the fridge. A drawing by way of a change, this house or cottage is on the walk towards the Old Man of Hoy which fit young and slightly barmy people climb to the top of occasionally. Because it’s there I suppose. Still bonkers if you’ve ever seen it, it’s a needle of very high rock off the coast of Orkney. This place is on the walk to the cliffs that overlook it. On the way to the Old Man

This fantastic building is on Southgate Street in Gloucester and is the former home of Robert Raikes, the man who founded the Sunday School ‘movement’. This picture was taken couple of years ago just after it had undergone a complete refurbishment after being bought by Samuel Smith’s Brewery. It’s worth reading more about it here The owner of Samuel Smith’s Brewery is a bit of a tough character who does not approve of mobile phones or swearing. This place is in Crete and they have a market outside. Loads of oranges which I recall being the most delicious I can remember. Fancy having all that vitamin C outside your front door. The house itself could do with a bit of attention and looks like it is unoccupied. You can tell how hot it was with all the windows open. Nice to see a sunny scene when it’s been so wet and miserable here in the UK. The other fruit looks like pomegranate to me, but can’t be sure. Continue reading House 22. Orange is not the only fruit
