What a good start. Thanks.
My children’s books for charity has got of to a flying start, so big thanks to all those who have bought them direct from me. Don’t forget that you can get them for a mere fiver each direct from the Longfield shops in the Bath Road in Cheltenham or the King Street branch in Stroud. If you are further afield then go here and I’ll post them out to you. They are little books intended to be read to young children. This is one of my grandchildren’s favourite spreads, better than chocolate spread, apparently. Continue reading What a good start. Thanks.

Monsters on the Plot…
This is the cover of my other lockdown book, and is dedicated to fellow plotters. I’d like to say that this cover image shows my own plot but I don’t have the luxury of the shed. It’s a children’s book and as with my other one the proceeds of the sale of the books go to charity. Longfield looks after people at the other end of life and is a local charity to me here in Gloucestershire. They have shops in Cheltenham and Stroud where you can buy copies of the books. They are quite small, the size of a … Continue reading Monsters on the Plot…

The books are small but very beautiful and are dedicated to all those grandparents missing their grandchildren like we have in this period of lockdown. Let’s hope we can all see our little family friends again very soon. … Continue reading Every nano second of every day…

When did fish get fingers?
I think it was in the late 60s or early 70s when Bird’s Eye ( what sort of name is that for a food producer? ) introduced us all to the fish finger. It was a great idea and a way of getting kids to eat fish. Put some bearded old grandad on the telly dressed as a sailor and the recipe is a success. This is spread number 8 from my book for small people called ” We love you more than…” I have asked my grandchildren if fish have fingers but they just wave me away and get … Continue reading When did fish get fingers?
This one’s a close run thing…
It’s something that runs in the family. A love of marmalade. Best home made of course, or as it’s called up North “Om Med”. There’s not a jam to match for me. Marmalade, like tea, is like a key worker. Has to be there. Love it more than my grandchildren? No, lets not be silly, that’s just not possible. This is spread number 7 of my book, thickly spread. All proceeds from the sale of the books go to Longfield a charity that help people at the other end of life from my target audience. Read more about my book … Continue reading This one’s a close run thing…
Unzip a banana?
Spread number 7 of my book, we love you more. Are there any children who don’t like banana? It’s probably the first word many of them learn. This is yet another spread from my little book dedicated to all those grandparents missing their grandchildren, it is meant to convey exactly how much you love and miss them. It is designed and written to be read to them by grandparents and other close family. All the proceeds from the sale of these little books will go to Longfield. Click on the link to see what brilliant work they do to help … Continue reading Unzip a banana?
