A break​ in the weather​

So a bit of a walk last week with my chum Richard. We managed a break in the dull weather and got out into the sun in the Mendips. Did wonders for my ‘steps count’ on my phone, especially when we took a slight detour. The highlight for me was this beechwood with the sun shining through. Too cool

Customer Service. It seems to be a theme for the week. After I’d done this drawing it reminded me of the waiter at a local restaurant where I took a couple of friends recently who helped me with my exhibition earlier in the year. This is what it was all about It was one of those fake French places where they serve you Shepherds Pie and call it Parmentier to give you the impression that the French might eat it. I’d like to plant this idea please.

Cheltenham Borough Council have caused a bit of a “who-ha” by suggesting that they abandon their current very expensive method of planting some of their flower beds with bedding plants each season and using a more sustainable and economic way of planting. They have explained it as below, but I fear they are fighting the boring old fuddy-duddies who won’t change anything, least of all their dreadfully wasteful way of planting and then watering these blooming things. Grumbler

I suppose I could be called this after my week with BT trying to fathom out why they have been charging me a different amount to what they said they would. There I was with a printed sheet telling me what to expect and then the bloke on the phone telling me to refer to an email that said something quite different. I offered to email him a copy of the printed sheet, but he said that would not be necessary as the amount quoted on the email was the correct figure.
