Where are they now?

She’s working on the checkouts at Waitrose. Teresa May. It’s her kind of thing and she likes the perks. She likes the idea of working with PLUs ( People like us) and being called a partner.

Liz Truss managed to get a job as a traffic warden. They are called traffic managers these days bur we all know what they are. She’s fond of the military style hat, it’s an older out of the way town and they have yet to update their uniform so it suits her. She manages the abuse from drivers very well.

That bloke who turned on Putin and marched with his mercenaries towards Moscow? He’s not in dead, he’s driving a bus in Gloucester. Tredworth area, single decker. I’ve seen him shopping in Iceland too. Has still got that hound dog look and keeps looking over his shoulder, it’s a bit of an understandable tic.

Dean Martin now mends the footpaths above Cheltenham with his fancy half track truck. Had a quick word with him and he seemed as relaxed as his favourite counterpart.

Then there’s James Bond. Met him a few years ago when he was a young client of mine at Severnprint. He said his parents had a sense of humour before I’d even made a comment. Shaken not stirred.

Meanwhile in Gloucester on the anniversary of the Siege of Gloucester I ran into a Royalist who had hair that would not be out of place on a supermodel, and a Parliamentary Soldier who also had all his own hair, but with less of a sheen. A South African guy demonstrated the fire power of a flintlock rifle, with the promised flame emitting from the lock and the barrel, sending a cloud of war over all the spectators.

Against all the odds Gloucester’s Parliamentarians held out against the Royalists by the way, not sure quite how it would pan out these days.

Royalist firing at the back of the Folk in Gloucester.
