No, I meant shopping list. There I was scribbling it out on an old piece of layout paper where I’d scribbled this little drawing that I planned to put on the back of a greetings card envelope for Ruby, a baby I don’t know but close to my good friends Mike and Judie. A long story. Mike asked me if I’d do a little something for this little somebody who’s just arrived. Off it went on the back of their greeting card envelope which he’d forgotten to post and as a sort of apology to ‘management’.

He was happy. I had to explain to him that this is a recycled drawing. You know when you hear a hit record, take almost any Beatle hit, but for the sake of this let’s say the first Beatle record I ever hear: “Love me do”. Now they must have performed that on how many occasions? Hundreds. They could probably play it in their sleep. Well, I have used this drawing or a variation of it quite a number of times.I can probably draw it in my sleep.

Let’s just hope it’s a hit.
