That is a wonderful ramshackle drawing! Made me think of Thelwell who loved growing up. I loved his crisp style, and wonderful draughtsmanship, which you have in common.

Yes, thanks to Nanna, who sent (to Canada) me bundles of comics (Beano, Dandy, Beezer et al) I soaked it all up. Never got into American comics much. Haha I used such terms as ‘soppy’ and ‘Cor!’ and ‘Getoutofit!’ to great comedic effect in school thx to those comics.
