I thought that this might cheer on a grey Monday here in the UK. Memories of a brilliant day just a few months ago.

I’ll only need 3 colours so that won’t be expensive.
Taken in last year this stunning buttercup field is on a walk near the River Severn. There are many stiles like this in the Cotswolds, one of the things they all seem to have in common is that they are almost all at least 6 inches higher than one should really feel comfortable with. Some are built for giants, and negotiating them can be tricky, these ones are also usually the ones that are least well maintained and have wobbly bits. We all know how dangerous wobbly bits can be. In these circumstances make sure you hang back from the other walker to check out wobbly bits. You can spot them as the victim will move like they are about to do a pole dance on top of a high wooden structure.
I might do a drawing to illustrate.
So that’s a painting and a cartoon…
To be fair this particular stile was solid.
Looks beautiful…..sunshine distinctly absent these days!
Wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and every good wish for 2022 …… hope it will be better for everybody!
Love Susie xx
