Wow, and here I thought there was only one Santa Claus!
Sorry to enlighten. My good wishes to you and the rest of the Cheesebergens!
The red and white garb we associate with Santa (created in 1829 by a New York advertising executive) was actually given to him by a Coca Cola advertising man to fit with their corporate colours. Father Christmas (from circe 1700), was more of a woodland spirit, has the colours of green and white and brown. But he has been the subject of a hostile corporate takeover.
Waes Hael to you all!
I’m all for magenta man myself! All the very best Robin, and how come Robin’s are so popular on Christmas cards then? Aggressive little birds.
And a very happy Christmas to you Paul.
